What is Masterbatch & Compound

Masterbatch is a concentrated mixture of pigments and additives used for coloring or imparting specific desired properties to plastics (are used further in compounding). Masterbatches are classified into five major types – black, white, color, additive, and fillers.

Compound is polymer formulations by mixing or/and blending polymers, fillers, pigments, additives, and masterbatches. These compounds have fixed set-point properties as per specification and end application. Eg. Crast, Transtep, Matt, Automobile & Precolored compound, etc.
